Using this Website

There are several ways of using this website.  First, you can browse blog posts that are organized by keyword, tag or date.  Click on the toobar link 'recent posts' to see blog posts from the present in reverse chronological order with the most recent first.  You can also click on the menu icon in the upper left to view posts filtered by publication month or label.  (Created by the author or editor, a 'tag' is another word for 'label' and filters blog posts by topic).  Finally, to search for blog posts by keyword, click on the search icon in the upper right and enter any sequence of letters.

However, this website contains more than blog posts.  There is also a reference 'web' or index.  For now you can use this page to access the 'thoughtspace web', as it were.   At the moment, there is only this one page on common fallacies.  However, this web of linked pages will grow and constantly be updated to reflect the authors' current views on many themes developed in the blog.

Complexity Theory and Extralogical Reasoning

Almost everything in this universe—from galaxies and clusters of galaxies to solar systems and planets, to climates and ecosystems to industries and economies—comes from things organizing themselves. They are SELF-organized. Most things can’t be understood by straightforwardly analyzing the parts/variables, like in math, physics, and engineering; only by accounting for unknowns and appreciating the complexity of the interactions BETWEEN variables can one hope to understand the rest of Nature. The former type of thinking is called reductive or reductionistic; extralogical reasoning calls the latter  scientific holistic thinking .   Complexity theory studies complex systems such as economies, ecosystems and their evolution, societies, and various related phenomena. Draugr City: An Epic Fictional Universe by NG Murphy

The following is an introduction to my historical vampire-like universe called Draugr City, not an essay. There are no prerequisites.         For years, I’ve been intrigued by vampire/mythical monster universes but have found them awkward and unintelligent. I’m obsessed with alternate-history and epic sci-fi world-building, but these genres tend to be inaccessible, dry, and overly expositional, sometimes barely qualifying as fiction. I love movies and comics, but their developers are constrained by the need for brevity, especially in the “microwave society” of today. And I always wanted to see a brand of mythical monsters (directly or indirectly) produced by extraterrestrial beings.    So I created an accessible supernatural-horror-like universe bottomed, instead, on an expounded science.
